Welcome in the Holiday Season and have some FUN with GTFA!

GTFA will be marching in the Holiday Parade on Saturday, November 25th!  All teams and parents are welcome.

Players are encouraged to dress in Holiday colors/festive wear and a few Santa hats will be made available.  Everyone is encouraged to celebrate the start of the holiday season and support GTFA.

Participants should muster at OLPH by 3:30 pm and please dress for the weather.  At the end of the parade, there is a Winter Wonderland Party at Jackman Park.  This is a great opportunity for players and parents to gather together before the holidays.

Long-time softball coach and Assistant Athletic Director Kay Sopocy was given a surprise party on Saturday afternoon before an intra-squad scrimmage.  The Titan pep band was in attendance to play the National Anthem and a soaring rendition of the Titan Fight Song following Sopocy delivering the first pitch.  Much of Coach Sopocy's family, including many grandkids, were in attendance, as were numerous GBS softball alumni and the next generation of Titan softballers, represented by many young members of the Glenview Fastpitch organization.  It was a fitting tribute on the eve of Sopocy's retirement.

GTFA would like to congratulate and thank Glenbrook South Varsity Softball Coach - Kay Sopocy on a great career as a coach, mentor and friend to so many GTFA players. We wish you all the best!

Coach Kay and her GBS Titans

host a successful Clinic

On Saturday, March 19 Coach Kay Sopocy, her staff and GBS Titan players once again hosted a successful clinic at the Glenbrook South Fieldhouse.  Players and coaches each took time to work with all the young players in attendance.  This annual event helps fund the Varsity team's Spring Training trip to Cocoa Beach, FL and the teams service project at the Crittenton Crisis Nursery in Peoria, IL.

GTFA was very proud to have so many of its current and past players in attendance.

Best of luck from GTFA to all Glenbrook South Titans Girls Softball teams this season!!!
