How are donations and sponsorships spent?
The GTFA season doesn’t begin when the grass turns green. Our calendar begins in November with six months of indoor training at local practice facilities.
We rely heavily on your support to offset the cost of equipment, instruction and off-season facility rental where important teambuilding occurs. Our teams then participate in as many as six summer tournaments and 20 league games. We also host an annual, tournament, the Thunderbolt Classic.
How much money goes to the softball teams?
All our funds go directly to support our programs and operations including coaching and training, field maintenance, gear, umpires, safety equipment, and more.
Our board of directors and off-field positions are volunteers.
What is the Thunderbolt Classic and how does it affect Glenview?
Our four-day tournament welcomes dozens of teams, hundreds of players, their families and friends to two Glenview locations. These are not exclusively local teams. Teams from northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin also join everybody in dining and shopping in the Glenview area.
