Who can tryout for GTFA and when do tryouts take place?

GTFA player evaluations are open, fair and mandatory. Returning players and new players will be evaluated annually. The Board will determine the timing and format of player evaluations. The Board will use its best efforts to publicize the dates, times and locations for player evaluations. These efforts may include local newspaper advertisements, school flyers and communication to past participants.

While player evaluations are held at a time and place determined by the Board (typically in August and/or September), subsequent player evaluations may be scheduled by the Board if team managers believe additional roster positions are available. Such evaluations do not guarantee placement on a team and an invitation to join a team may be made only after Board approval.

What fees are associated with participation?

Glenview Titans Fastpitch is a not-for-profit association. Participation costs for players each year are based on the Association’s anticipated expenses which include team equipment, field usage fees, indoor practice facilities, insurance, umpires, league and tournament fees, and other related expenses. Uniforms, traveling & other costs are not included in the registration fee, but can reasonably be expected.
